Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On April 24, 2018, the Board adopted Resolution Number (No.) 18-059, establishing the total mileage of County Maintained Roads at 1,015.77 miles as of December 31, 2017. On May 7, 2019, the Board adopted Resolution No. 19-175, establishing the total mileage of County Maintained Roads at 1,016.86 miles as of December 31, 2018. On April 20, 2020, the Board adopted Resolution No. 20-044, establishing the total mileage of County Maintained Roads at 1,016.86 miles as of December 31, 2019. On May 4, 2021, the Board adopted Resolution No. 21-064, establishing the total mileage of County Maintained Roads at 1,016.86 miles as of December 31, 2020.
Summary of Request:
The California Streets and Highways Code requires that in May of each year, the County submit to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) any additions to or exclusions from its adopted maintained mileage during the preceding calendar year. Two segments of North Main Street in Willits (0.41 miles and 0.54 miles in length), now County Road 300, were relinquished from Caltrans to Mendocino County on August 12, 2021. Mendocino County Department of Transportation has determined that the total mileage of County Maintained Roads in the County of Mendocino is 1,017.81 as of December 31, 2021.

Not adopt the maintained road mileage for 2021.
