Summary of Request:
On August 18, 2020, Mendocino County Planning and Building Services held a public hearing to authorize the submittal of an application to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) for use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) CARES Act Funds in the amount of $293,812 to provide Microenterprise Financial Assistance to Benefit, Low and Moderate-Income Households and Provide Assistance to Mitigate the Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic. HCD has received the application and request a singular word change to the Resolution. The sentence adopted by Resolution on August 18, 2020 was located in Section 3, and reads: “The County hereby authorizes and directs the County Executive Officer, and or Designee to execute and deliver all applications and act on the County’s behalf in all matters pertaining to all such applications.” HCD requests the word “and” be stricken and a revised resolution be signed, and will not approve the County’s use of the Grant funding until this action has been completed.
