Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On September 23, 2013 the Board of Supervisors formed an Ad Hoc Committee consisting of Supervisors Hamburg and McCowen to work on a Master Tax Sharing Agreement between the City of Ukiah and the County of Mendocino. From November, 2013 through April, 2014, the Ad Hoc Committee met with the City of Ukiah to discuss a Master Tax Sharing Agreement. On June 7, 2016 Supervisor McCowen resigned from the Ad Hoc Committee. On June 12, 2016 the Board of Supervisors Appointed Supervisor Brown to the Ad Hoc Committee. At the time of Supervisors McCowen’s resignation from the City of Ukiah Tax Sharing Ad Hoc Committee, no report out from the ad hoc committee was provided.
Summary of Request:
Due to the length of time between the Ad Hoc Committee’s meetings and the last report out to the full Board
it is recommended that a new Ad Hoc of Supervisors Mulheren and Gjerde be created to restart negotiations with the incorporated cities of Fort Bragg, Point Arena, Ukiah and Willits regarding a Tax Sharing Agreement for Mendocino County.

Do not approve creation of the Ad Hoc and provide direction.
