Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

On August 29, 2023, the Board approved an Amendment to BOS Agreement No. 10-207 in the amount of $586,414.97 for a renewed three-year term effective January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026 for the ongoing maintenance and support fees for Tyler Technologies, Inc. Aegis Public Safety software.                     

 

Summary of Request

Assembly Bill 953, the Racial and Identity Profiling Act of 2015 (RIPA) enacted Government Code section 12525.5, which prohibits racial and identity profiling by law enforcement and requires state and local law enforcement agencies to report data to the Attorney General’s Office on all vehicle and pedestrian stops as well as all citizen complaints alleging racial and identity profiling. Tyler Technologies, Inc. is the current provider of the Sheriff’s Office Aegis Public Safety software system and the requested application will meet and exceed the State’s requirements.
