Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
During the December 13, 2023, Budget Workshop, the Board of Supervisors appropriated the first Subdivision settlement of $63,283.29 to be applied towards the Health Plan given the County has incurred damages for past harms including increased health care costs as a result of the opioid crisis.

Authorize Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector to create a new fund 1230 (Opioid Abatement), a new budget unit 4045 (Opioid Abatement), a new org code OA (Opioid Abatement), three new project codes OADA (Distributor Abatement), OAJA (Jansen Abatement), and OANA (National Opioid Abatement Trust II), and a new object code 82-7716 (Opioid Settlement); approve corresponding appropriation transfer of funds for Fiscal Year 2022/2023; approve applying FY2022/23 subdivision funds received, in the amount of $194,035.13, to the County Health Plan given the County has incurred damages for past harms including increased health care costs as a result of the opioid crisis; and authorize Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector to appropriate all future opioid settlement abatement funds to Org OA and all future subdivision funds to ND.
