Previous agreements with the FRVPL were approved by the BOS on March 23, 2013, and on November 6, 2018.
Summary of Request:
The Round Valley Library Branch in Covelo is located in the “Library Commons” building owned by the FRVPL. The lease agreement specifies that the annual amount is $31,840 and may be increased annually by the California West Region CPI with an annual cap of 3%.
Most utility expenses for the building are paid by the FRVPL, and the branch’s portion of these expenses is included in the annual lease amount. The Library will have the option to extend the lease for three periods of three years each, and the FRVPL may request an increase. The FVRPL is responsible for facility repairs and maintenance.
The Library branch in Covelo is especially important for the community which is located one hour’s drive from Willits. The many resources that the Round Valley Branch Library provides for the community helps move towards the County’s goal of a thriving economy.
