Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

The Board originally adopted Chapter 5.140 of the Mendocino County Code (BID Chapter) in 2006, and first amended the BID Chapter in 2015.  On June 6, 2017, the Board adopted   amendments to the BID Chapter.  On June 20, 2017, based on evidence from the Business Improvement District Annual Report, the Board introduced and waived reading of an Ordinance to further amend Chapter 5.140.

Summary of Request

The 2016-2017 Mendocino County Lodging Business Improvement District Annual Report contained recommended modifications to the BID Chapter.  These include appointing a member at large instead of specifying that the member must represent the Mendocino County Lodging District, allowing a member to apply for re-appointment, and setting November 30 as the date by which the advisory board shall convene to cause to be prepared the annual report to be consistent with the BID Advisory Board Bylaws.  These recommendations were intended to ensure the BID continued to function smoothly with changes made to the Chapter in 2017.
