Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
By Resolution No.16-043, (April 5, 2016) the Board of Supervisors authorized the DOT to advertise for bids and award DOT Contract No. 160011 for construction of the Muir Mill Bridge Replacement over Baechtel Creek on Muir Mill Road, CR 301C, and increase the Director of Transportation’s change order authority to 10% of the contract. By Resolution No. 16-149, (December 20, 2016) the BOS approved the Notice of Completion and Release of Contract Surety for DOT Contract No. 160011 for the Baechtel Creek Bridge replacement on Muir Mill Road, County Road 301C, MP 2.07.
Summary of Request:
DOT Agreement No. 170005 provides for vegetation replacement, erosion control measures, monitoring, and maintenance for five years. SHN and their sub-consultant, Samara Restoration, responded to the request for proposals and were rated most qualified to do the work. The negotiated “not-to-exceed” price is $ 120,400 with a contingency of $15,000 for additional tasks that may arise during the five years.
