Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
The Board approved the grant application for this project to the Economic Development Administration (EDA) at the June 19, 2018 meeting. The Board approved BOS Agreement No. 19-195 at the August 6, 2019 meeting.
Summary of Request:
The Economic Development and Financing Corporation (EDFC) has been working with West Business Development Center to carry out the planning activities to create a strategic framework for the activities and efforts of local governments, agencies, and organizations to create a resilient economy in Mendocino County.
The County has announced that County staff will perform broadband activities. This amendment will remove all mention of broadband activities in the original BOS Agreement No. 19-195 and will not change the contract term nor amount. This amendment also includes a minor change in language-changing “County Economic Recovery Coordinator” to “Economic Recovery Coordinator” per EDA’s request.
Today’s requested Board action allows approval of the amendment and gives the Chief Executive Officer to sign future amendments that do not increase the contract amount.
