Summary of Request

Representatives of the Gualala Lions Club are requesting permission to hold a parade on November 29, 2025, in Gualala. Said parade would be held between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., along California State Highway 1 and proceeding south from mile marker 1.64 to 0.76. Cooperation will be given to the California Highway Patrol and to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Department in allowing traffic to proceed on the highway, as only one lane is needed to conduct said parade. In order for the parade to be held, the Gualala Lions Club is seeking permission from the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors, pursuant to the Department of Transportation and California Highway Patrol’s Joint Policy Guidelines for Special Events on State Conventional Highway Rights-of-Ways.
