Summary of Request:
Pursuant to Board direction, the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) is returning to the Board with the annual report from Emergency Medical Care Committee (EMCC) representatives to update on the First Responder emergency calls in Mendocino County throughout 2020.
In 2020, ambulances were dispatched to incidents more than 12,000 times providing in the field care and support for the members of Mendocino County; additionally, there were more than 5,700 responses from fire agencies in Mendocino County. These critical supports to our community maximize available resources for Mendocino County ensuring access to those in critical need in order to save homes, save lives and ensure the wellbeing of our community.
The Pacific Gas and Electric Disaster Settlement Funds would provide critical infrastructure to further enhance the response efforts of first responders, thereby supporting the community by allowing faster responses as well as providing additional tools essential to their efforts.
