Summary of Request

AL-TAR Services, Inc. ("AL-TAR") is an authorized lab equipment repair service representative with locations throughout the United States, headquartered in Austin, Texas. AL-TAR is experienced with meeting Food and Drug Administration regulations for calibration of equipment since 1986. Through the proposed Agreement, AL-TAR will service and maintain Mendocino County Department of Public Health’s (MCPH) vaccination refrigerators. Services will include safety inspections, and preventive maintenance consisting of cleaning, calibration and adjustments. In addition, AL-TAR will perform operational, mechanical and electrical inspections, to ensure all equipment recorded on the instrument list performs within manufacturers’ specifications consistent with the age of the instrument. All inspections and services performed under this Agreement will be in accordance with state and federal regulations, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards. Services under this Agreement will occur during regular visits, mutually scheduled by MCPH and AL-TAR, at the intervals specified within the Agreement.

This Agreement is retroactive due to prolonged revisions between MCPH and AL-TAR. As these services are imperative to MCPH, a start date of April 1, 2023 was sought to avoid a lapse in coverage should MCPH require immediate servicing to maintain safety and compliance standards.
