recommendation
Adopt resolution ratifying the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) application for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant funds for pavement rehabilitation of the apron at Little River Airport and authorizing the Director of Transportation to act as the Airport Sponsor’s official representative and to execute the grant agreement and sign other necessary related documents on behalf of Mendocino County, if awarded (Little River Area); and authorize Chair to sign same.

By Resolution Number (No.) 20-037 (April 7, 2020), the Board approved grant funding for the Airport Pavement Management Plan Update for Little River Airport.
Summary of Request:
The apron in front of the office at Little River Airport is in poor condition and needs rehabilitation. Disintegrating asphalt produces small gravel which is hazardous and potentially damaging to aircraft. DOT is requesting authorization to submit an AIP grant application to complete the update.
