Approve appropriation of funds for the Local Agency Technical Assistance (LATA) grant program from the California Public Utilities Corporation (CPUC) for fiscal year 2024-25 fund 1225 project DR310, increasing fund 1225 line item DR310-825490 state other revenue in the amount of $221,542.84, and increasing fund 1225 line item DR310-862189 professional and special services-other in the amount of $221,542.84, to pay Golden State Connect Authority for fiscal year 2024-25 LATA grant services using revenue received from CPUC in fiscal year 2024-25 and conclude the current LATA grant program; and authorize the Chair to sign same.

On October 18, 2022, the Board approved the submission of the grant application for the Local Agency Technical Assistance (LATA) Grant funding opportunity from the California Public Utilities Corporation (CPUC) in the amount of $500,000; and authorized the Chief Executive Office to execute the grant agreement and submit all documents if awarded.
Summary of Request:
The County was awarded the Local Agency Technical Assistance (LATA) Grant funding in the amount of $500,000, to fund network design services for priority areas in and around unserved/underserved area of Mendocino County and the project is now completed with $496,542.84 eligible for reimbursement. This appropriation request is an administrative clean-up to the Fund 1225 Project DR310 in fiscal year 2024-25. There is no additional funding being requested.
