Summary of Request:
Planning and Building Services (PBS) released a Request for Proposal (RFP 005-23) in March 2023 for special planning project assistance related to the LCP amendment, zoning code and SMARA revision. Qualifications required are a specialty in land use, planning, resource management, environmental review and CEQA analysis, development review, SMARA inspection services and other related technical support services.
PBS only received one submission for this RFP and has previously worked with Land Logistics, LLC, who has a tremendous reputation in land use planning. Land Logistics is also familiar with Mendocino County and will not need training to begin work. The Department also received three phone calls from various consultants who did not have staffing or resources available to respond to the RFP.

Do not approve and provide direction to staff.
