Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On August 6th, 2020, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve (R_2019-0015) via Resolution Number (PC_2020-0011). On February 23, 2021, the subject rezone, R_2019-0015, was continued by the Board of Supervisors to the March 23, 2021 agenda.
Summary of Request:
A request to rezone a legal parcel that totals 33.79± acres from Rural Community (RC) to Limited Industrial (I1) to facilitate continued use of the property for cannabis cultivation activities beyond the limitations of Mendocino County Code Section 10A.17.080(B)(2)(b). On August 6, 2020, the Planning Commission unanimously recommend that the Board of Supervisors approve the Rezone (R_2019-0015), finding that: 1) the proposed rezone will have a less than significant impact per CEQA regulations, therefore a Negative Declaration be adopted; 2) the proposed project is consistent with the minimum parcel size per the Rural Community General Plan Land Use Designation; and 3) the proposed project is consistent with the minimum parcel size per the Limited Industrial zoning district per Mendocino County Code Chapter 20.096.
