Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

On May 21, 2024, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 24-084 approving the Memorandum of Understanding between the County of Mendocino and Teamsters LOCAL 856 (Mendocino County Public Attorneys Unit).

 

Summary of Request

The Board of Supervisors' negotiating team has met with representatives from Teamsters LOCAL 856 (Mendocino County Public Attorneys Unit) and have reached an agreement regarding the appropriate terms and conditions of employment for the term of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2029.  Attached is a Resolution and the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The summary below provides a highlight of proposed terms included in the MOU:

 

                     Term: Four-year term from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2029

                     Salary: For FY 25-26: 3% salary increase effective first full pay period after adoption. For FY 26-27 3% COLA, FY 27-28 2-3% COLA dependent on revenue and expense triggers, and FY 28-29: 2-3% COLA dependent on revenue triggers

                     Health Insurance: Modify County’s contribution toward Gold/Silver plan for Employee Only to 80%, Dependents to 78%; and County’s contribution toward Bronze plan for Employee Only to 100%

                     Holiday Leave: Add Juneteenth

                     Administrative cleanup language
