Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

On   April 23, 2024, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 24- 064 approving the Memorandum of Understanding between the County of Mendocino and the Mendocino County Association of Confidential Employees (MCACE).                       

 

Summary of Request

The Board of Supervisor’s negotiating team has met with representatives from the Mendocino County Association of Confidential Employees (MCACE) and have reached an agreement regarding the appropriate terms and conditions of employment for the term of July 1, 2026 through  June 30, 2029.  Attached is a Resolution and the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).   The summary below  provides a highlight of proposed terms included in the MOU:

 

                     Salary: Year 1: 3% Cost of Living (COLA) increase + minimum $23/hr at Step 5, Year 2: 2-3% COLA based on identified triggers, Year 3: 2-3% COLA based on identified triggers

                     Health Insurance: Modify County’s contribution toward Gold/Silver plan for Employee Only to 80%, Dependents to 78%; and County’s contribution toward Bronze plan for Employee Only to 100% 

                     On Call Premium: Increase on call premium by $1 per hour

                     Bilingual Pay: Increase bilingual pay by $10 per pay period

                     Increase to vacation accruals for employees with 8 to 15 years of service

                     Holiday Leave: Addition of Juneteenth and maintain the provision of one floating holiday

                     Administrative cleanup language
