Approve Agreement with Redwood Community Services, Inc., in the amount of $73,000, to provide Expanded Subsidized Employment for California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids participants, effective upon signing, through June 30, 2025; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In response to Request for Proposal No. 040-22, Expanded Subsidized Employment (ESE) services, Redwood Community Services, Inc (RCS) submitted a proposal, and was awarded the contract with Mendocino County for ESE services. The proposed Agreement with RCS in the amount of $73,000, includes employee wages while providing for a comprehensive and cohesive training program to develop or enhance employment skills of California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) participants during the 24-25 fiscal year. Services will include subsidized employment for participants while they develop the skills and work history needed to obtain self-sufficiency.
