Approve fourth amendment to BOS Agreement No. 19-265 with Bennet Omalu Pathology increasing the total agreement amount by $800,000 for the increased need for autopsy and forensic pathology services for the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office effective July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On December 17, 2019, the Board approved a five-year agreement with Bennet Omalu Pathology for forensic pathology services in the amount of $1,675,000. On February 11, 2022, the Sheriff's Office processed the first amendment to the agreement that increased the agreement amount by $100,000 bringing the total amount to $1,775,000. On June 7, 2022, the Board approved a second amendment that increased the agreement amount by $700,000, which was included in the FY22/23 budget, bringing the total amount to $2,475,000. On April 11, 2023, the Board approved a third amendment that increased the agreement total amount by $195,000, bringing the total amount to $2,670,000 to cover ongoing autopsy and forensic pathology costs through the end of Fiscal Year 2022-2023.
