RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Adopt Resolution approving Department of Transportation Agreement number 230002 with the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District, in the amount of $45,000, for forest health, soil health management, and water resource services on various projects in Mendocino County; authorize the Director of Transportation or designee to sign all amendments that do not increase the maximum amount (County Wide); and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
During the December 13, 2022, Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board agreed to fund $45,000 to the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District (MCRCD) in FY 22/23, and an additional $45,000 in fiscal year (FY) 23/24, if available.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County has been contributing financially to the MCRCD for years. In the Board meeting on December 13, 2022, the Board agreed to give $45,000 to the MCRCD for FY 22/23 and an additional $45,000 in FY 23/24, if available. Additional funding is dependent on MCRCD requesting overhead reimbursement in their grants, wherever possible.

Postpone or cancel approval of the agreement.
