Approve retroactive Agreement with Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center in the amount of $293,907 to provide congregate emergency shelter services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Mendocino County, effective January 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The proposed Agreement with Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center (MCHC) is funded by the Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention (HHAP) Round 3 allocation jointly awarded to the County of Mendocino and Mendocino County Homeless Services Continuum of Care (MCHSCoC) by the California Interagency Council on Homelessness. Through the proposed Agreement, MCHC will provide congregate shelter for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Mendocino County. Services will include shelter support staffing, operating activities, utilities, supplies, maintenance, linkage to other services, case management, review of program eligibility, and monthly reporting. The proposed Agreement is fully funded with grant funds and no General Fund dollars will be used.
