RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve a retroactive first amendment to BOS Agreement No. 24-054 with Nichols Melburg & Rossetto AIA & Associates (NM&R), a California Corporation, in the amount of $0 to extend the termination date from June 30, 2025, to December 5, 2025, all other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On February 27, 2024, the Board of Supervisors authorized the creation of the Capital Improvement Project to Complete the Renovations for Evidence Storage for Law Enforcement. On April 23, 2024, the Board of Supervisors approved the agreement with Nichols Melburg & Rosetto for design and engineering services for the project with a term through June 30, 2025. On June 6, 2025 the Board of Supervisors authorized the award of the construction project to Coastal Mountain Electric.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In February of 2024 the board approved the Renovations for Evidence Storage for Law Enforcement project, and awarded design contract to NM&R in April of the same year with a term through June 30, 2025. After consulting with the department, they proposed several options and cost estimates and on December 18, 2024 NM&R was provided direction to proceed with permit and construction drawings.
