Adopt Resolution authorizing Department of Transportation to advertise for bids and award three Department of Transportation contracts to construct 2019 storm damage permanent repairs on Mountain View Road, County Road 510, mileposts 1.65, 13.95, and 20.00, at an estimated cost of $1,420,650 (Boonville/Point Arena Areas); and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
By Resolution Number (No.) 19-037 (February 26, 2019) the Board of Supervisors declared the existence of a local emergency related to the February 2019 Winter Storms Event.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
These three Department of Transportation (DOT) contracts will provide for construction of the 2019 Storm Damage permanent repairs on Mountain View Road, County Road 510, mileposts 1.65, 13.95, and 20.00, at an estimated cost of $1,420,650, with a local match of $162,949. Funding for Fiscal Year (FY) 2020/21 and FY 2021/22 is budgeted through Budget Unit (BU) 3030, and is anticipated to be 88.53% reimbursable through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The project work will consist of the construction of soldier pile walls, underdrain systems, and rock slope protection, etc. Eligibility for FHWA funding will be confirmed prior to contracting.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION/MOTION:
Postpone advertising for bids and award of contracts and delay commencement of construction.
