SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Sheriff's Office requests Board approval to enter into a retroactive five-year Revenue Agreement with the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (DOI, BLM) for continued law enforcement radio dispatch services. Under the Agreement, BLM will compensate the County $375 per month, totaling $4,500 annually and $22,500 over the full term, for radio dispatch services provided by the Sheriff's Office, when needed. This service is an essential component of ensuring proficient response and officer safety for BLM's law enforcement personnel working on BLM-managed lands within Mendocino County.

Board approval is required because the Revenue Agreement is retroactive, covering the period of May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2031, and because the County's Purchasing Policy requires Board approval for State of California and Federal Government revenue agreements that have not previously been approved by the Board.
