Approve retroactive Agreement with Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center in the amount of $139,697 to provide emergency shelter and resource services in Mendocino County, effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Assistant Director/Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County currently contracts with Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center (MCHC) to provide shelter services and related resources to clients on the coast, to address the needs of the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) General Assistance (GA) clients and all of Mendocino County persons who are currently, or at risk of, experiencing homelessness. MCHC provides beds, meals, shower and laundry facilities, phone access, mail delivery, other amenities, outreach, and housing assistance to qualified individuals.

HHSA requests retroactive approval of the proposed Agreement. MCHC experienced a leadership change during the contract process, which caused the original contract to be delayed for several months.
