RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve Agreement with Mendocino County Fire Chiefs Association in the amount of $461,701.19 in Measure D funding, to support fire prevention, suppression, rescue, emergency medical services, and related operational programs as authorized under Health and Safety Code Section 13860 et seq and as detailed in the attached County of Mendocino Funding Agreement, effective upon signing through June 30, 2029; authorize the Chief Executive Officer or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
In March 2020, Mendocino County voters approved Measure D, which imposed a transient occupancy tax on visitors staying in private campgrounds or recreational vehicle parks located in unincorporated areas of the County, and also approved Measure E, a non-binding measure advising the County to allocate the 25% of revenues raised by Measure D to be spent based on the recommendation of the fire chiefs of the recognized fire agencies in Mendocino County.
