PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On December 3, 2024, the Board of Directors gave direction to District staff to work with the County Executive Office and the Auditor-Controller's Office and bring back an agenda item in 2025 to update the District's fee schedule, incorporating the feedback provided by the Board and the public.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Board of Directors held a noticed public meeting on December 3, 2024, to review and discuss proposed changed to the District's fee schedule. Members of the Board and the public voiced concerns over various aspects of the proposed fee changes, in particular regarding the burn permit fee increase.
The District published notice of the December 3, 2024, public meeting and a December 17, 2024, public hearing at the same time in November 2024. Given the Board's direction to District staff at the conclusion of the December 3, 2024, public meeting, staff recommends cancelling the public hearing that was noticed for December 17, 2024.
Future meetings of the District regarding any proposed action on adopting a new fee schedule will be noticed as required by law.
