PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On April 5, 2022, the Board approved Agreement No. 22-075 with Porter Scott in the amount of $50,000 for legal services for the period of April 5, 2022, through June 30, 2023.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
County Counsel is requesting the Board to approve the amendment to Agreement No. 22-075 with Porter Scott extending the period from June 30, 2023, to June 30, 2024 to continue to provide legal defense as conflict counsel for litigation personnel matters. Previously, the individual defendants were represented jointly, but the County has learned that it is no longer able to do so because a conflict of interest has arisen. Because of this, the County is now providing separate representation to each County defendant.
