Approve retroactive Agreement with Redwood Community Services, Inc. in the amount of $18,800, to provide "Homeward Bound" transportation services to individuals experiencing homelessness in Mendocino County, effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments not to exceed a maximum amount of $40,000; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
Agreement SS-23-067 in the amount of $25,000 for similar Homeward Bound services was approved by the Chief Executive Officer and Direct of Social Services on April 10, 2024, for a term of service ending June 30, 2025.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County currently contracts with Redwood Community Services, Inc. (RCS) to provide transportation services to individuals experiencing homelessness who have identified stable places to stay in locales outside of the county. Through the proposed Agreement, RCS will provide assistance to homeless individuals in need of transportation outside of the county, including bus tickets, trains, air flights, and in limited circumstances, fuel for individuals with access to an automobile.
