PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The 2023 Board of Supervisors General Government Committee and Public Health, Safety and Resources Committee were appointed by the Board of Supervisors on January 10, 2023. The Economic Development Committee was formed later in the year on April 25, 2023. Then, on September 12, 2023, the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to disband the Public Health and Safety Resources Committee and the Economic Development Committee.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Board of Supervisors has made referrals to each committee throughout the year; and some active referrals remain. The Board of Supervisors may take action to appoint Standing Committees at their first meeting of the year; in order to prevent any potential conflicts with the Brown Act the Board of Supervisors must clear each 2023 referral from committee or refer the matter to an ad hoc of the appropriate committee members for further review. A list of the outstanding referrals has been included as a supporting document to this item.
