SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In recognition of the Mendocino Climate Action Advisory Committee and all of the organizations in Mendocino County that work to protect the environment Supervisor Mulheren requests that the Board of Supervisors adopt the Proclamation recognizing April 22, 2023 as Earth Day in Mendocino County.

Throughout the County there may be many activities planned to recognize and celebrate beautification of the planet. Ideas include; supporting pollinators by planting native plants, cleaning up litter, planting a tree, preparing to continue to save water in your garden, actively recycling good waste in your home or joining a community clean up day.

In the Ukiah Valley Supervisor Mulheren has worked with the City of Ukiah, Ukiah Valley Trail Group, Mendocino Fire Safe Council, Greater Ukiah Business and Tourism Alliance and Blue Zones Project to collaborate on several projects including graffiti removal on the Great Redwood Trail, Trail Work in Low Gap Park, Broom Pull in the western hills and planting trees and caring for native plants by removing invasive weeds. There is a task for all! There will also be informational booths and a clothing swap. You can join the fun at the Grace Hudson Museum 431 S Main Street between 9a-2p on April 22, 2023.
