PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
Previously the board had approved Amendments No. BOS-23-195 and No. BOS-23-195-A1 on December 5, 2023 and June 4, 2024, respectively, to the original Executive Office Agreement No. PA-23-39 that was entered into on October 7, 2022.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Regional Government Services Authority (RGS) is a public agency located in Carmel Valley, California, providing consulting, administrative, and project management services for local governments. RGS was founded in 2001 as a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) and began serving the needs of cities, counties, special districts, joint powers authorities, and other governmental entities in 2002. RGS provides support and consulting services exclusively for public agencies, in order to help meet needs related to common challenges such as decreasing revenues, increasing demands and costs for services, and loss of experienced staff.
On October 7, 2022, the Mendocino County Executive Office executed Agreement No. PA-23-39 with RGS at the Purchasing Agent (PA) level of approval, in the amount of $38,000 for fiscal systems review services through June 30, 2023. Mendocino County identified RGS as a so...
