RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve Agreement with Redwood Community Services, Inc., in the amount of $277,000 to provide housing and services to assist emancipated former foster/probation youth and young adults, between the ages of 18 to their 25th birthday, for Department of Social Services, Family and Children's Services, effective upon full execution through June 30, 2024; authorize the Department of Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The proposed Agreement provides tiered funding for Transitional Housing Program-Plus (THP-Plus), a program that offers supportive housing for up to nine eligible young adults per month, with priority given to young adults who exited the foster care system. These young adults would otherwise be homeless and need assistance developing skills that will support them in becoming independent and self-sufficient.
