Accept the Essential Services Sales Tax Allocation (attachment A) for fiscal year 2022-23, as proposed by the Mendocino County Fire District's Association of Elected Officials; Appropriate $1,240,888.14 of fiscal year 2022-23 Essential Services Sales Tax in fund 1240; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or designee to negotiate and enter into Agreements with the Fire Agencies and the Mendocino County Fire Safe Council, not to exceed the amount appropriated.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
This item is to appropriate the Essential Services Sales Tax (Measure P) money that was collected in Fiscal Year 2022-23, distribute the money collected to the Fire Agencies, per the Fire Agencies' agreed upon allocation, and authorize the CEO or her designee to negotiate and enter into agreements with the Fire Agencies and the Mendocino County Fire Safe Council while not exceeding the spending amount that has been appropriated. This item only applies to revenues collected in Fiscal Year 2022-23.
