PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On December 17, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved Agreement No. BOS-19-271 with Nacht & Lewis Architects in the amount of $3,357,568 to provide architectural services for the Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) and other projects. On December 6, 2022, the Board approved First Amendment No. BOS-19-271-A1, extending the term of the Agreement through June 30, 2026.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Approval of this Retroactive Second Amendment to Agreement No. BOS-19-271 with Nacht & Lewis Architects will extend the term of the Agreement from June 30, 2026, through September 30, 2026, with no increase in the contract amount. The extension is necessary to allow Nacht & Lewis Architects to complete the remaining architectural and construction administration services associated with the Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) Project.
Construction of the PHF Project has experienced delays beyond the original anticipated completion date due to factors including construction scheduling, procurement delays and a delay in the establishment of electrical service from PG&E. As the Architect of Record, Nac...
