RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve the Board of Supervisors' and Human Resources' combined response to the 2022-23 Grand Jury Report, disband the Grand Jury Ad Hoc committee for the Grand Jury Report titled "Accountability at the County"; direct the Clerk of the Board to return original to the County Counsel's Office for submission; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
Grand Jury reports routinely require responses from the Board of Supervisors. Board responses are formally approved prior to the submittal to the presiding Judge of the Superior Court and the Grand Jury. On July 11, 2023, the Board appointed the Ad Hoc Committee of Supervisors Ted Williams and Dan Gjerde to respond to the Grand Jury report titled "Accountability at the County".
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
State law requires the Board of Supervisors to respond to Grand Jury findings and recommendations no later than 90 days after issuance of the report.
