Approve Agreement with the Community Foundation of Mendocino County for the establishment and administration of Mendocino County Social Services Community Support Fund to support charitable and public purposes, effective upon full execution; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not change the terms of the investment; and authorize the Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request:
Mendocino County Department of Social Services (MCDSS) and the Community Foundation of Mendocino County (Foundation) seek to formalize an Expendable Fund Agreement to create the Mendocino County Social Services Community Support Fund (Fund).
The MCDSS Community Fund is intended to support MCDSS’s programs, services, and initiatives that benefit residents of Mendocino County. The Fund will be administered as a component fund of the Community Foundation under UPMIFA guidelines. Under the agreement, the Foundation will accept and distribute private donations exclusively for MCDSS charitable and public purposes; issue biannual distribution to MCDSS with provisions for extraordinary distributions under defined circumstances; provide oversight of investment, administration, and spending in accordance with applicable policies and regulations; and ensure annual accounting and donor recogniti...
