RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve Lease Agreement with Redwood Community Services, Inc. (RCS) in the amount of $12 per year, for County premises located at 641 Orchard Avenue in Ukiah, for the purpose of operating a Crisis Residential Treatment Facility (CRT), effective July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2026; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On March 15, 2022, the Board approved an Agreement with RCS (BOS Agreement No. 22-063) for operation of the CRT and Lease (BOS Agreement No 22-064) for the CRT facility. The original lease had a term of two years and included language allowing up to two additional two-year periods (through 2028). The Board amended Agreement No. 22-063 on 5/23/23, 7/25/23, 9/12/23, and 6/25/24.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
CRT operations are funded through Medi-Cal, Realignment, and the Mental Health Services Act. The County premises located at 641 Orchard Avenue provide Residential Treatment Facility operations, and Crisis Residential services. Services are provided on a transitional basis to Mendocino County adults, aged 18 years or older, who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The CRT has a 30-day maximum stay.
