Approve first amendment to professional services Agreement with GeoCon Consultants, Incorporated in the amount of $59,070 for geotechnical testing and observation services for the Mendocino County Jail Project at 931 Low Gap Road in Ukiah for a total contract amount of $100,230; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On February 7, 2017, Resolution 17-019 authorized the Sheriff's Office submittal of a proposal for funding through the Adult Local Criminal Justice Facilities Construction Financing Program (SB844) for additional specialty housing and expanded program, training, and mental healthcare space at the County jail and authorized an appropriation for the local match portion of the project of approximately $1.047 million. Subsequently the Board of Supervisors has approved funding increases and changes and on October 31, 2023 accepted the total project estimate of $43,999,800 and authorized contract award to Broward Builders, Inc in the amount of $35,859,000 for construction of the new jail that will serve as a behavioral health wing pending final funding approval by the California Department of Finance.
