SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Assembly Bill (AB) 1416 Passed with an Effective Date of January 1, 2023, AB 1416 adds a requirement to list all Supporter and Opponents of a Statewide Measure on the Ballot Label. Election Code 9170(d) Allows a County Board of Supervisors to Elect Not to List Supporters and Opponents for County, City, District and School Measures on the County Ballot and Future County Ballots. Adopting the Resolution Pursuant to California Election Code 9170(d) would benefit the County and its Voters by Reducing the Number of Ballot Cards and Complexity of the Ballot. Adopting the Resolution Pursuant to California Election Code 9170(d) would benefit the County, Municipalities, School Districts and Special Districts by Reducing the Costs of Ballot Printing.
