PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
At the November 1, 2022 regular meeting, the Board directed Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector to provide an update on the status of fiscal year end 2021/22 close. Ms. Cubbison has orally stated an approximate $2.2M carryforward.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Board has a Duty to annually pass a balanced budget. It is not possible to pass a balanced budget in tight financial circumstances without knowing the carryforward from the previous year. Further, labor negotiations will commence soon where integrity of process requires all parties to be privy to accurate information.

Return to staff for alternate handling.
