Ratify submission of grant application to the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) Proposition 64 Cohort 4, Public Health and Safety Grant Program; Adopt Resolution delegating authority to the Health Services Director to execute the resulting grant Agreement, if awarded, up to $2,733,260, for the project period of July 1, 2026, through December 31, 2031, to address public safety impacts associated with illicit commercial cannabis activity; authorize the Health Services Director, or designee, to sign the Agreement, if awarded; and authorize the Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) administers the Proposition 64 Public Health and Safety Grant Program, which provides funding to local governments to address public health and safety impacts associated with illicit commercial cannabis activity. The BSCC released a new funding opportunity under Prop 64. Mendocino County Public Health (MCPH) identified this grant as a critical source of support for Cannabis Prevention and Education.
