Approve Agreement with First 5 Mendocino in the amount of $55,347, to provide Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) classes countywide, effective July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
First 5 Mendocino introduced Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), an evidence-based program, to
Mendocino County over ten years ago for families with questions about young children's behavior. The Triple P program has now evolved to help families with children of all ages find positive solutions to child behavioral problems and help with children who have a development delay or disability. Triple P is the parenting education curriculum adopted by Family and Children's Services (FCS) as part of the System Improvement Plan (SIP) for parents and caregivers involved with FCS, and for the general community to help prevent child abuse and neglect.

First 5 Mendocino is the only agency in the county that provides and coordinates training certification for Triple P instructors, which helps ensure fidelity to the training model.
