Approve retroactive Agreement with Nuestra Alianza de Willits in the amount of $60,000, to provide Mental Health Services Act Prevention and Early Intervention services, effective July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025; authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to sign any amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Nuestra Alianza de Willits provides important services for the Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) subsection of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). Through the proposed Agreement, Nuestra Alianza de Willits will provide valuable outreach to underserved populations, specifically the Spanish speaking population in and around Willits, to access mental health care. Nuestra Alianza de Willits helps people navigate the mental illness system of care, helps Spanish speakers access assessments, and refers individuals to other providers when necessary. Additionally, Nuestra Alianza de Willits offers a range of other wellness activities such as tax preparation and navigation for public benefits programs, while providing important mental health check ups to an underserved community at times of high stress.
