Approve Agreement with Redwood Community Services, Inc. in the amount of $152,000, to provide an inland shelter and day center to qualified individuals in Mendocino County, effective July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County currently contracts with Redwood Community Services, Inc. (RCS) to provide shelter services and related resources to inland clients at the Building Bridges Homeless Resource Center, located at 1045 S. State St., Ukiah. These services address the needs of Mendocino County Department of Social Services (MCDSS) General Assistance (GA) clients, Adult Protective Services (APS) clients, and families and individuals in Mendocino County who are experiencing homelessness and need to be sheltered. Through the proposed Agreement, RCS will provide beds, meals, shower and laundry facilities, phone access, mail delivery, other amenities, outreach, Individualized Housing Plans, and case management to qualified individuals. Additionally, this site serves as a central hub for local service providers to provide direct services and refer clients for other appropriate services.
