Ratify submission of grant application to The Center at Sierra Health Foundation for the Elevate Youth California: Youth Substance Use Disorder Prevention Program Innovation grant; and authorize the Director of Behavioral Health and Recovery Services to sign any resulting Agreement awarded, up to $698,341.43, for the project period of February 15, 2022 to November 15, 2024, and any amendments that do not increase the maximum amount.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Center at Sierra Health Foundation provides Elevate Youth California grant funds under contract with the State of California's Department of Health Care Services through Proposition 64, California Cannabis Tax Fund, Allocation 3, Youth Education Prevention, Early Intervention and Treatment Account. This funding opportunity focuses on youth from communities of color and other marginalized populations that are disproportionately impacted by the War on Drugs, criminalized for substance use, and often have less access to prevention, treatment and information about substance use disorder supports.
