The Board approved the FY 23-24 Zip Book grant application on May 9, 2023: item 3y.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Each year, the Zip Books program allows books not available at our library branches to be shipped directly to the homes of Mendocino County Library card holders. Once those items are returned to the branches, they can be added to the collection and made available for others to check out.
Mendocino County Library has been participating in this program since 2012 and has been awarded $9,881 for this fiscal year. This program helps the County reach its Strategic Plan Priority of "An Effective County Government" by making new library materials available to residents at no cost to local library funds.
