Ratify submission of grant application for the California Department of Health Care Services' Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program funding for the Behavioral Health County and Tribal Planning Grant; authorize the Director of Behavioral Health and Recovery Services to sign any resulting Agreement awarded in the amount of $150,000, Effective January 3, 2022 to December 31, 2022, and any amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is utilizing funding received from the Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) to initiate and support planning efforts towards the acquisition and expansion of behavioral health infrastructure.

Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) intends on using funds to secure resources towards researching and assessing sites for a partial hospital care/rehabilitative care/board and care facility in Mendocino County, generate participation and collaboration from community stakeholders to address urgent gaps in the care continuum, and seek geographic equity of behavioral health and community care options.
