Summary of Request:
Mr. McGourty has announced he will be retiring on July 1, 2020 from his professional career serving Mendocino County as an agricultural advisor with the University of California Cooperative Extension. McGourty has worked as the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Wine Growing and Plant Science Farm Advisor since September 1987 to the present in Mendocino County. As an educator and applied researcher, he has conducted programs in wine grapes, nursery crops, landscape, vegetables, and specialty crops throughout his 33 years of service.
